As King Charles ascends to the throne, Iain Anderson, co-founder and Executive Chairman at Cicero Group joins FRANCE 24 to offer further analysis on the future of the UK and the monarchy. "In the UK, we have a constitutional monarchy that stays and rises above politics," explains Mr. Anderson. Now with regards to Scottish independence, the outcome of a second referendum "will be driven by politics and not by the monarchy." Mr. Anderson highlighted the fact that "the King in his broadcast on Friday made very clear that he would be rising above politics in the traditional constitutional sense that the Queen and her forbearers have."
