Families of two of the victims of the stabbing rampage that left 11 people dead, including one of the suspects on the James Smith Cree First Nation and in the nearby village of Weldon in Saskatchewan, will join the Saskatoon Tribal Council for a press conference on Wednesday.

The names of the victims have been released, painting a picture of the tragedy that ripped through two small communities in one of Canada’s worst-ever mass killings.

A manhunt for fugitive suspect Myles Sanderson continues Wednesday after a tense police search Tuesday came up empty.

After a possible sighting in Regina on the weekend of a vehicle driven by Sanderson, police Chief Evan Bray said the service no longer believes Sanderson is in the community late Tuesday afternoon.
