In the Democratic Republic of Congo, at least 800 inmates have escaped during an attack on a jail.
At least two police officers were killed in the prison break.
The armed group that carried out the raid is believed to have been trying to rescue some of its former members, and recruit new ones.

Al Jazeera’s Leah Harding reports.
