A Nepali mother is determined to complete her secondary school education after dropping out 12 years ago to elope with a man to India at the age of 15. Parwati Sunar has given up her housemaid job to return to Nepal and re-enroll in classes that she attends alongside her two sons. About 57 per cent of women in Nepal are considered literate in the country of 29 million. Sunar said she hopes to finish the 12th grade and become "literate enough" to be able to maintain the household accounts.
