Queen Elizabeth II funeral: Watch Liz Truss give reading and Archbishop of Canterbury deliver sermon

Telegraph, 19 Sep 2022
Prayers were read, hymns were sung and a sermon was delivered at the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey on Monday.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby noted in his sermon during the funeral that “few leaders receive the outpouring of love we have seen" for the late Queen
.
The trappings of state and monarchy abounded: The coffin was draped with the royal standard and atop it sat the Imperial State Crown, sparkling with almost 3,000 diamonds, and the sovereign’s orb and scepter.

But the personal was also present: a handwritten note from her son, King Charles III, that read, “In loving and devoted memory” and was signed Charles R - for Rex, or king.

Prime Minister Liz Truss also read a text in hour of Queen Elizabeth II.
