An impressive offering of fruit was the centrepiece of the annual Patotsav celebration that took place at the Vrajdham Haveli Hindu temple in India's western Gujarat state on June 10, 2022. The event involving mainly devotees of the Vaishnavism denomination of Hinduism normally involves gifts of fruits, sugar, juices, flowers and incense to Thakurji, a name for Krishna who is an incarnation of the god Vishnu. But this year, about 125,000 mangoes were brought to the place of worship to celebrate the deity's 23rd “Patotsav”, marking the day the Thakurji’s idol was installed in the temple.
