"Beasts": Kharkiv school hit by Russian missiles, Ukrainian officials say
CA, 08 Jul 2022
A school for visually impaired children east of Kharkiv, Ukraine was hit by Russian rockets on Thursday, according to local Ukrainian officials.
No one was killed in the shelling, but the school — which is attended by 260 children — saw equipment, doors and windows damaged.
"They specifically hit schools and kindergartens. So many ruined schools, kindergartens, houses," said Nina Khudyshkina, a mother of a student at the school, adding that only "beasts" could do this.
Russia has denied targeting civilians in what it has called a "special military operation," but regional authorities in Ukraine have said apartment buildings and schools in Kharkiv have been targeted, with civilians killed.
