James Webb telescope: Biden unveils its 1st photos from space | LIVE
CA, 11 Jul 2022
U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris will receive a briefing on Monday from NASA and preview the first images captured by the James Webb Telescope, the highest resolution photos of the infrared universe ever captured.
As the Hubble's $10-billion successor, the Webb telescope has been hailed as the world's premier space observatory. Now fully operational, it is able to peer back in time, possibly to 100 million years after the Big Bang.
In April 2022, NASA shared a series of test images showing the telescope's full field of view in deep space.
