Tens of thousands march for gun control in US after Texas school shooting
BBC, 12 Jun 2022
Tens of thousands of protesters have rallied across the US to call for stricter gun laws in the wake of two mass shootings.
The group behind the rallies, March For Our Lives, said it would not let politicians "sit back" as people continue to die.
US President Joe Biden backed the protests, calling on Congress to "pass common sense gun safety legislation".
Despite this, any attempts to change the law are likely to be blocked by Republicans.
